The Middleast Educational Services (MES) off-campus study centre has conducted its 4th convocation ceremony of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi.
IGNOU’s pro vice-chancellor Dr Latha Pillai conferred the degrees on 28 graduates.
Present on the occasion was India Ambassador to Qatar Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa.
The MES off-campus study centre was instituted in 2002, and has since graduated hundreds of students, issuing them with certificates, diplomas, graduate and post graduate degrees.
At present, many students are studying various courses offered by IGNOU, Mahatma Gandhi and Calicut Universities in various programmes.
Apart from university courses the centre also conducts short-term courses.
There is also an online, one-on-one tutoring in all subjects for students in classes VI to XII through Planettutor Learning Solutions, India.
They are being taught via video conferencing by the Avon Institute of Modern Sciences, Singapore.
They are also receiving Gama abacus mental arithmetic and memory techniques training course conducted by Gama Abacus International, India.
The study centre also conducts courses in public speaking, personality development and training for IELTS (International English Language Testing System), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test).
